AMTELCO Announces a New
Disaster Planning Tool - Infinity Emergency Access
McFarland,
WI - March, 2004 - It
is very important for every call center to have a plan in place in the
event of business interruption due to telephone outages, power outages,
and natural disasters. AMTELCO is pleased to announce several options
available to keep call centers up and running and providing service to
their clients.
Options
available:
- Infinity
Emergency Access - The NEW Infinity Emergency Access service allows
call centers to answer their phone calls if, for any reason, their
Infinity was not able to function properly due to telephone line
or equipment failure.
AMTELCO’s hosted Emergency Access provides an Infinity server at
AMTELCO’s secure site that supplies the call center service within
minutes. In the event of a disaster, the call center would call
in and request to use the back-up Infinity. A block of toll-free
800 numbers is then provided so that critical clients can forward
their calls. Call centers can access the back-up Infinity accounts
via the Internet, with an operator and supervisor login, and set
them up for their clients.
- Securing
Your Infinity Data with Infinity Back-up Operator - The optional
Infinity Back-up Operator application allows data from the Infinity
server to be exported over the network to a Microsoft® Access database
on each operator’s desktop computer, or on a central file server.
The data that is exported includes all operator set-up information,
client information, directories, and on-call schedules.
- Infinity
Back-up Server - The Infinity database can be backed up to another
Infinity server using the optional Network Backup feature.
The Network Backup feature provides the ability to have a live
stand-by Infinity server in place with a current database. One
of the Infinity Telephony Servers in a multi-chassis configuration
can be used as the back-up server, or it can be a stand-alone server.

Access, contact AMTELCO at (800)356-9148 or (608)838-4194, or visit
