McFarland, WI - March, 2003 - AMTELCO is pleased to announce that a number of NEW features designed to improve the core messaging, dispatching and on-call scheduling features, which reduce labor costs and increase revenue will be included in the INfinity Software Version 5.3 release. These new features include: Infinity Conferencing - The number of conference parties allowed in a single conference is 40. The Conference Bridge now allows moderators to use DTMF commands to control the conference. Moderators can start and stop recording, mute and unmute participants, leave the conference and have it remain intact, and break down the conference. There is a new Web interface for the Conference Bridge which can also be used with AMTELCO's eConferenceLink conferencing application, or on a stand-alone basis. The conference Web interface allows moderators to view the participants with their ANI and ANI Name (if available), and control the conference through the interface. Expiring Specials - When an operator enters a special they ar able to define an expiration time for the special. When the expiration time is reached, the special is automatically marked as delivered. This allows operators to enter temporary specials with the assurance that the time-sensitive information in the special will not show up after the time period has elapsed. Infinity Switching - Infinity's switching incorporates AMTELCO's patented XDS (eXternally Defined Switching) architecture. The XDS switching has been enhanced in Infinity SOftware Version 5.3. Infinity Software Version 5.3 supports the XDS H.100 PCI MC-3 board. This board provides the switching matrix, tone resources, and conference ports for the system. It expands the number of simultaneous conference calls to 84 and the number of conference participants to 228. It allows each Infinitychassis to have up to 256 MVIP ports and up to 192 H.100 PCI ports. The board includes an onboard music on hold port. Infinity Software Version 5.3 includes support for a NEW Infinity Windows® Telephony Server. The WIndows Telephony Server supports all of the H.100 PCI DSI (Digital Set INtegration) boards which provide a digital port integration to all major PBX's. Infinity Software Version 5.3 supports the XDS T1/PRI ISDN board. This board provides up to 8 spans of T1 or ISDN. It connects to the central office and carrier switches as well as PBX's. It supports NI-1, NI-2, QSIG, and Siemans Cornet NQ protocols. Infinity KB163 Color Keyboard* - The Infinity Kb163 keyboard has been enhanced to improve operator efficiency, and make custom configuration easier. The key layout of the K163 Color Keyboard has been optimized for the new Infinity Software Version 5.3. The keys are organized into groups according to their function type. Each group is also color coded to provide operators with an easy-to-remember visual clue to each group of functions. The Windows Telephone Agent includes a new set-up and configuration utility, which allows the keyboard mapping to be customized for each site. Unified Reports - Infinity Software Version 5.2 and 5..3, and eCreator Software Versions 2.1 and 2.2 include the new Unified Reports application. Unified Reports combines all reports into a single interface, which can be accessed from the Infinity Supervisor applications. This allows reports to be run from any supervisor workstation. Unified Reports utilizes Crystal Reports® 9.0 as the reporting engine. Using Crystal Reports Report Creator license, supervisors can modify existing reports or create new custom reports from within Unified Reports. Unified Reports includes a Report Creator Wizard to simplify this process. Data that is generated by each report can be exported to many file types. This includes delimited text files, Microsoft® Access tables, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, e-mails, and HTML documents. Client Audit - Call center clients or hospital staff may listen to any live operator calls on their account by placing a phone call into Infinity. Clients can stop on a specific call by pressing a DTMF* (star) key. Web Applications Message Follow-Me - A new option has been added to the Web On-Call and Web Directory to allow you to select whether messages taken in the applications are affected by the client's Follow-Me status. If the option is enabled, the Covered By status and the Page Blocking status will affect messaging. Covered By causes the message to be forwarded to the Covered By client. Page Blocking generates a pop-up alert to the operator telling then that the client is not accepting messages at this time. Log-out Reason - Managing operators is a big part of building a successful call center. With Infinity Software Version 5.3, when an operator logs out, they will be prompted to enter a reason for the logout. The reason will be sent to the MDR reporting database and will be included in the Operator Log-out report. And much more - Of course, the list doesn't stop there. AMTELCO continues to develop new features specifically designed to make call centers even more profitable!
