AMTELCO’s Real Time Backup Now Implemented at 15 Sites

McFarland, WI — October 2009 — It is very important for every call center to have a plan in place in the event of business interruption due to telephone outages, power outages, and natural disasters. AMTELCO is currently providing 15 call centers with several options to keep them up and running and providing service to their clients. These options include both on-premise and hosted solutions.

When a call center’s clients realize that a disaster has occurred and their service has not been affected in any way, the positive effect extends to all of the call center’s current and prospective customers. The call center has turned that disaster into a good client retention opportunity.

Real Time Database Backup
The Real-Time Backup feature of AMTELCO’s Infinity Software Version 5.5 allows the entire Infinity database to be backed up across a TCP/IP network connection to a Backup Infinity Server. As changes are made in the primary Infinity Server database, they are replicated across the network to the Backup Infinity Server. This ensures that the Backup Infinity Server always has current data.

The primary and backup servers can be at the same location or different locations, with the real time backup taking place over the internet.

The robust Infinity database includes all voice processing, voice mail, text messages, information pages and more. If the Backup Infinity Server is ever used as the primary Infinity Server in the event of a disaster recovery, the data entered into the Backup Infinity Server will be resynchronized back into the primary Infinity Server when it is brought back online.
